Label designed by Lauriane Dupré. Created in a style inspired by 1960s comic books, her illustration for “à la main” humorously and tenderly depicts a life spent amongst the vineyards and in the distillery, where a touch of whimsy pays tribute to traditional craftsmanship.
Tasting notes :
Nose : it opens with a basket of juicy fruits, peach, apricot, mango, lychee and Muscat grape. This is followed by floral notes and a hint of tamarind.
Palate : the attack is lively. The fruit flavours linger deliciously, before gaining depth with notes of brewed tea, almond and gentle spices.
Finish : silky and lingering, enveloping the palate with exotic fruits and delicate spices.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st within the Cognac AOC. Limestone terroir. Owned by Rateau Joel, family single estate in Bellevigne, Charente.
To be savoured patiently as a digestif, with a cigar.
