Tasting notes :
Colour : copper.
Nose : complex, with woody, spicy notes, as well as hints of candied fruit, nut, dried apricot, dried fig, maple syrup, saffron and cedar wood.
Palate : floral notes, with hints of narcissus, hazelnut and cigar box.
Finish : exceptionally long on the palate.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Crus : Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, clay-limestone soil.
Ageing : a minimum of 30 years in French oak barrels.
Best enjoyed neat in a tulip glass as an after-dinner drink.
Pairs well with cheeses such as Comté or Roquefort (blue cheese).
