The history of Cordon Rouge is inextricably linked to that of Grand Marnier.

One day, Louis-Alexandre Manier-Lapostolle had the idea of mixing cognac - the finest of all spirits, the pride of south-western France since the 17th century - with aromatic orange essence.

It took him more than ten years to create, improve and refine the liqueur that the world would one day know as Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge.

Tasting notes :

Colour: Bright, brilliant topaz with golden and amber highlights.

On the nose, generous notes of orange with hints of candied peel; vanilla aromas from the cognac.

On the palate, a full-bodied and ample flavour; aromas of bitter oranges balanced by notes of cognac, hazelnuts and caramel.

The finish is long and harmonious.
